Following his pre-graduate studies, he successfully completed his education at Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry in 2009 and received the title of Dentist. In 2010, he started his doctoral education at Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Orthodontics, and in 2015, he started his doctoral studies on one of today's aesthetic treatment methods: 'Patient comfort, satisfaction, treatment effects and treatments with Lingual (internally inserted invisible wires) orthodontics and transparent plates (wireless-bracket-free treatment). He completed his thesis titled "Comparison of Duration" and received the title of "Doctor of Orthodontic Science".

In the same year, he was entitled to receive the specialization certificate issued by the Ministry of Health and received the title of "Specialist Doctor". Dr. Dt. Emel YEŞİL ŞAHİN treated patients with snoring and sleep apnea during her 5-year tenure at Hacettepe University.

Specialist Dr. Dt. Emel YEŞİL ŞAHİN continues her professional work at Ankara Academy Oral and Dental Health Polyclinic.
